Special thanks to Weelde and Hostel Room Rotterdam for hosting this event with us.

Questioning a post-climate change / post-covid dystopian world, what is still important for humankind, where do we meet, how do we meet, and what do we miss in our lives.

We have invited 6 different initiatives from different sides of the entire Netherlands, to meet at an in-between / digital version of the sand party: Life After the Warm Up 1.1: Core Digital

After being quiet, and not being able to organise those 16 hours Rave / Art parties as we used to, we wanted to hear the stories of different groups, initiatives that managed to be still active within those two years.

The legendary basement of the Grey Space in the Middle, which was filled with 6 tons of sand in the last event at 2019, will be transformed into a forum space with DJ sessions, talk shows, performative acts for two days straight.

Both days will be live streamed on Maxi Radio & Royal Surfclub

We are thrilled to invite to one of the most unique event we ever hosted: to a synthetic, futuristic dystopia. Which both the Grey Space, and Royal Surfclub is going to push the boundaries of the gallery space.

There will be many first times prepared just for you:

Music on BOTH floors, until 05:00 o’clock, both floors will be pitch dark.

All night long SILENT DARK DISCO at the entrance floor, live AI VJ’ing coded by Leo Scarin,

Proper light shows / installations, prepared by RAZ of Rotterdam, and smoke machines on BOTH FLOORS,

“Bergain”, a high tech cocktail which is designed by The Grey Space & Royal Surfclub, exclusively made for this night,

DJ booths will be prepared as nearly as it can get to art installations,

Pushing the maximum guest capacity as Grey Space & Royal Surfclub,

+12 DJs

We humbly & kindly invite you to a different world, to a future that we all are afraid to live in,
to go trough an all night long catharsis together.

While we are improving our technology and science in a rapid speed, the quality of our lives is in a downward spiral, along with the society itself.
Are we forgetting the soul here, while we are turning ourselves into high-tech beings.

This edition of Royal Surfclub is dedicated to William Gibson’s life changing novel Neuromancer, inspired directly by his Night City, and the dark, despotic world that he has been created.

Two years ago, we hosted our last event in the city at the very same location: Weelde.
Now, after becoming one of the main events of the Hague for the art & electronic music scene, it is time to get back to the city where Royal Surfclub has started.

We invited some of the local heroes of Rotterdam, and blended it with the new challengers from the Hague, to destroy the dance floor.

The entire area will be modified with site-specific stage design, light installatiions, designed only for this event, to give you the most unique experience as we always served to our visitors.

Come join us, to be a part of this rare concept which will change the traditions, and the way that you will observe & participate night clubbing.
