Royal Surfclub takes the Museumnacht crowd straight into our notorious basement

The night opens with a live art performance by Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist and DJ Senaida.

“Like Water, Like Clouds” is an improvised audiovisual ritual by Senaida, exploring softness as a radical act. Using a custom paintbrush instrument that transforms calligraphic gestures into sound, the performance blends Qigong, meditation, shamanic practice and deep listening into a shared space of presence and attentiveness.

Senaida opens the Museumnacht afterparty with a live art performance and closes the night with an uplifting DJ set.

BäRK, founder of Royal Surfclub, turns every set into a raw surge of energy. Known for pushing basements into shouting, sweat-soaked chaos, his selections cut across synth groovy electro with 80s and 90s synth-driven energy, blended with sharp and physical beats.

ARTÉMIS, resident of Parish Queer and Club Heater, brings their restless energy to Grey Space’s basement for the official Museumnacht afterparty. Fresh from PIP and Sziget, they bend house, breaks and techno into playful chaos — a trickster set where nothing stays still and everyone moves.

hallo_yolo goes for a relatively controlled mess of euphoric tribal percussion, hypersensitive electro, bass-driven rhythms, and leftfield pressure. Playing is a voyage through shifting states—calm, connected, intense, disoriented—steady, a bit broken but always groovy.. Cute but heavy, dark but fun.

Royal Surfclub returns to Grey Space for Club Hopping Night — orchestrating a full-spectrum evening that spans an immersive sound program and a commissioned exhibition in collaboration with Museumnacht Den Haag.

Curated by Berk Duygun, Soft-Coded Behaviours is the exhibition that brings together four artists operating at the intersection of technology, code, and spatial experience. Each work alters its environment — reshaping perception, movement, and social tempo

From 22:00 to 05:00, the notorious basement will be sweating with a DJ lineup that threads The Hague’s underground DNA into a kinetic flow — spanning percussive breaks, deep electronics, and high-energy closing sets. Each one brings a distinct sonic language, shaped by years of curating, organizing, and listening deep within the understructures of the night.

Program

Hailing from the westcoast of the Netherlands, Jelly got inspired by the musical legacy of her hometown The Hague. The harsh sound of underground electro, acid and techno is still present in every set, often mixed up with other fast paced, highly energetic bangers. After setting fire to multiple dancefloors and hosting a series of her own curated nights she finally became a resident of the club where she started out playing her first gigs; Het Magazijn.

Even though Het Magazijn had to close doors due to the pandemic, Jelly remained to be a frequently invited artist because of her strong underground acumen. Nowadays Jelly is often seen playing in clubs like Perron in Rotterdam (where she is a resident now), Tresor in Berlin, at festivals such as The Crave in The Hague and appeared in radio shows including Future Intel and 3FM’s livebox.
